Comments: In 1989 I did a few works like this one that fall somewhere between the "patterns in space series" and the "irregular shape series." The categorizing really comes after the fact anyway. Here I was playing with a Chinese lattice pattern, a pattern of spheres drifting across the view, and a series of organic shapes that somewhere between clouds and the contours of islands and waterways.
