Comments: Many of the works in the irregular shape series were just playful explorations in patterns of shapes. I would often set out little games for myself like try to draw a little irregular shape but try to vary the length of every line segment as you go. Then repeat the exercise so that you have a family of related shapes but no two are the same. In this work I repeated that same basic exercise at different scales. It is also one of the things I have been doing with the bars and windows in my work for years -- trying to maximize the variety of the size and shape of the windows.
