Comments: Over a number of years I created dozens of variations on the general "Patterns in space" theme and many versions of each variation. I see the series like improvisational music. That is, there is a basic rhythmic and melodic structure but that can then be varied without end. Sometimes I would introduce new elements like lattice pattern above but more commonly I was layering diamond patterns or simple grids between or behind layers of spheres.
